What Does the Advisory Board Do?
- Broadens the FIA base of contacts
- Provides in-kind services to support FIA activities
- Assists with fundraising efforts
- Increases community awareness
- Recruits volunteers
- Refers care receivers
- Offers policy suggestions to the Governing Board
What Commitment is Required?
- Attend quarterly board meetings
- Two year membership term

Who is Eligible to Join the Advisory Board?
The Faith in Action Advisory Board consists of individuals from a diverse variety of organizations. These are examples of community organizations from which representative individuals would be welcome additions to the Advisory Board.
- Faith congregations
- Faith-based organizations
- Social service organizations
- Community organizations
- Human service organizations
- Civic groups
- County agencies
- Health care providers
- Businesses
- Local media
- Schools and universities
- Other community-focused groups
The Faith in Action Advisory Board is an independent body of community leaders. They come together to assist the Faith in Action
Governing Board and to offer guidance to increase the effectiveness of the activities of Faith in Action of McHenry County.
The Coalition's role is to provide input regarding the needs of the local senior community and support Faith in Action's volunteer efforts to meet those needs. Members of the Advisory Board may be invited to be a member of the Faith in Action Governing Board.
